SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out monovision or artificial anisometropia with the help of laser thermokeratoplasty due to affecting the cornea with radiation of infrared laser on ytterbium-erbium (Yb-Er) glass at wave length being 1.54 mcm, radiation energy ranged 160-165 mJ/sq. cm, the diameter of laser coagulate is about 200-300 mcm, the depth of coagulate reaches the lower third of the cornea. The innovation provides compensation of aging-induced accomodation weakening and reconstruction of normal binocular vision without correction into the distance and nearby in patients aged above 40-45 at presbyopia at emmetropia and hypermetropia.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
