METHOD OF ISOLATION OF FORMATIONS IN WELL AND DEVICE FOR INJECTION OF ISOLATING MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry, particularly, methods and devices for isolation of water-encroached oil producing formations and water- bearing beds in oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: method includes making of pouring openings in flow string; lowering into flow string of pouring string with lower and upper packering devices; separation of annular space in zone of producing formations; injection of isolating material into pouring string; forcing of isolating material under pressure to wellbore zone and to flow string to under lower packering device; withdrawal from well of pouring string with upper packering device, and time is allowed for hardening of isolating material. Annular space in interval of installation of lower packering device is separated for entire period of time until its drilling. Device for injection of isolating material includes body, sealing member, lower and upper cones, slips, cutoff valve, retainer and packering mechanism. Slips are made in form of holders. Retainer is located in packering mechanism. The latter is made in form of compound body accommodating pusher. Compound body is secured by cams engageable with plug. Plug is installed on shearing screws in internal space of packering mechanism compound body. Plug covers pouring hole of cutoff valve. Secured to compound body lower part is stop engageable with lower slip. Bushing with bottom is fastened with shear screws to lower part of compound body. Bushing has projection and retainer for limiting its axial motion and closing of body through channel.
