FIELD: hydraulic engineering and amelioration. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to stabilize discharge of water supplied from canals and water intakes. Technical result of invention lies in that design of stabilizer of water discharge ensures high carrying capacity ( coefficient of discharge μ = 0,9...0,95 ) and makes it possible to save funds appreciably while manufacturing stabilizer thanks to reduced usage ( by 60-70% ) of materials in comparison with prototype. Stabilizer of water discharge in pools of water-development works includes box-like sectional monoblock fixed immobile in abutments of water-development works. Monoblock is fitted with curvilinear and flat apron plates placed at same distance from bottom of footing. Box-like sectional monoblock comes in the form of walls of different height arranged in parallel and installed perpendicular to direction of flow over entire width of pool. It is equipped with L-shaped gate with rack- and-gear drive that can change section of water outlet hole. EFFECT: high carrying capacity, appreciable saving of funds. 4 dwg
