STABILIZER OF WATER DISCHARGE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: hydraulic engineering, drainage and irrigation. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to stabilize water discharge with water supply from water intakes of water inlet units, from shallow basins of daily adjustment, from large canals of plain zone. Stabilizer of water discharge has cylindrical box-shaped sectional gate put on tubular water outlet which base comes in the form of truncated cone having horizontal plate anchored in base with rod drive and vacuum stalling tube. This stabilizer is manufactured in the form of monounit anchored immobile in supports, in abutment of structure, above water outlet. Disc valve with diameter under diameter of horizontal plate is located under horizontal plate on rod drive. Rod of drive is fitted with additional conduit for vacuum stalling. Stabilization is carried out thanks to change of discharge coefficient μ in function of change of head H and thanks to change of area of outflow W=f(H).
