FIELD: electrical engineering; squirrel-cage pump motors. SUBSTANCE: motor rotor has cores with metal bar winding. Part of rotor cores carry aluminum-wire winding and such cores are distributed over rotor length between cores carrying copper-wire winding. Proposed design provides for enhancing starting torque, reducing starting current, and soft mechanical characteristic of motor.
