FIELD: radio communications. SUBSTANCE: power of signal 1702 received is controlled by enabling or disabling low-noise amplifier depending on measured power of signal 1704 being received. Received power level is periodically compared with threshold value of 1704. If this level is higher than threshold value, low-noise amplifier is disabled. Low-noise amplifier is enabled again when received power level becomes lower than threshold 1708 and no high intermodulation components 1710 are detected. Intermodulation components are detected by short-time enabling of low-noise amplifier and detection of changes in measured power of signal 1710. If change detected is greater than predetermined value, it points to high intermodulation component and low-noise amplifier 1706 is not disabled. Otherwise low-noise amplifier is disabled in absence of high intermodulation components. EFFECT: enhanced noise immunity of receiver. 3 cl, 17 dwg
