FIELD: road testing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for routine checking of wheel-road adhesion coefficient on hard-surface roads under building or in service. Proposed device includes trailer with two wheels installed on two axle-shafts, brake system, recording unit, first and second distance run sensors whose outputs are connected with input of recording unit. Novelty is that brake system is made in form of electromagnetic powder clutch with fixed electric coil, one end of clutch being secured on axle-shaft of wheel to be braked, and other one, on trailer. Device is furnished additionally with brake torque setting unit connected with fixed electric coil of clutch. Control signal from distance run sensor of freely running wheel is transmitted to brake torque setting unit. EFFECT: provision of effective and reliable measurements under different road conditions. 1 dwg
