FIELD: vacuum and compressor machine building industry. SUBSTANCE: the liquid-packed ring vacuum pump has a body, a shaft with an impeller fitted on it eccentrically positioned in it. Radial grooves for producing an adjustable hydraulic seal between the impeller end surface and the end cover are made along the end surface of the blades, which reduced gas leakages between the cells. Water is delivered to the grooves through the channels that are made in the end covers, in the shaft and in the impeller hub. Water for replenishment of the liquid-packed ring is delivered through two ducts through the hydraulic seal and through the opening in the body. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of pressure control in the seal at optimum dimensions of the liquid-packed ring. 2 dwg
