FIELD: manufacture of rolled products. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging strip onto winder drum at tension exceeding technological tension by 2-2.5, with following reducing tension by linear law to technological value; winding strip up to ultimate diameter of roll, with tension being maintained at constant level. Method is characterized in that tension is reduced until roll diameter is 900-1,000 mm, with changing of tension crosswise of strip at current strip portion during winding by roll diameter is carried out in accordance with certain expression. Method allows loss of roll inner coil stability after removal of roll from drum to be prevented, weldability of coils during annealing in hood-type furnaces to be reduced and, accordingly, probability of occurrence of surface defects, such as fracture, tack spots, slip lines, to be avoided. EFFECT: increased efficiency, unified mechanical properties of rolled products through their height and radius during annealing in hood-type furnace and improved quality of rolled products. 2 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex
