FIELD: rolling processes and equipment, coiling of cold rolled strip.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming coil on reel of coiler at variable specific tension along thickness of coil while providing relation h/B = 0.00065 or less, where h and B - thickness and width of coiled strip; coiling first 90 -110 mm of coil thickness at specific tension 6,4 - 6.6 kg/sq.mm; coiling next 90 -110 mm of coil thickness at specific tension uniformly reduced until 3.7 -3.9 kg/sq.mm and terminating coiling at such tension. When relation h/B is more than 0.00065, first 140-160 mm of coil thickness are coiled at specific tension uniformly reduced from 4.9 -5.1 kg/sq.mm until 4.0 - 4.2 kg/sq.mm, and remained part of coil is coiled at last value of tension.
EFFECT: elimination of coil turn welding at keeping planeness of rolled strips.
