FIELD: glassmaking. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of avanturine glass and can be utilized when manufacturing ornamental facing materials and jewelry. Quality of glass is enhanced by adding B2O3, Cu2O, TiO2, K2O,, and rare-earth metal oxides so that glass is composed of, wt %: SiO2 28.969049.835, TiO2 16.33-20.0, Al2O3 2.0-7.90, Fe2O3 2.85-5.14, FeO 0.01- 0.93, CaO 15.70-17.10, MgO 1.10-2.50, MnO 0.15-3.30, Na2O 4.00-6.00, K2O 1.00-3.00, P2O5 0.43-0.86, Cr2O3 0.91-5.00, Cu2O 0.01-2.00, B2O3 0.10-2.00, La2O3 0.005-0.01, CeO2 0.001-0.005, and Sm2O3 0.002-0.01.
