FIELD: composite fibers. SUBSTANCE: abrasive wear is reduced by applying first layer of aqueous sizing composition including polymer materials and solid mineral lubricant particles followed by drying of layer. Strands are then brought into contact with rough surface of a solid subject, whose hardness is higher than that of fiber glass thread. Mineral particles are selected from graphite, boron nitride, metal dichalcogenides, cadmium iodide, silver sulfide, and their mixtures.
