FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for steplessly changing transmission ratio at high transmitted power, including stopping of driven shaft under load and reversing. Proposed variable-speed contains input and output shafts installed on bearings in housing, three-shaft differential, drive mechanisms, gear ratio change handle, two carriages with rollers, counterweight mounted on shaft rotating at angular velocity equal to that of input shaft, its center of mass, being located in antiphase relative to common center of mass of carriages. Shaft of carrier of three-shape differential composes integral unit with output shaft. Gear fitted on two other shafts of differential are furnished with drive mechanisms to impart rotation with relative 90o phase shift. Each drive mechanism includes two overrunning clutches rigidly coupled with differential gear by driven clutch members, and with input shaft by driving clutch members by means of cam and rollers to transmit oscillatory motion to driving clutch members with variable swing changed by gear ratio change handle.
