SUBSTANCE: constant voltage supply that can be used for electrochemical corrosion protection of subsurface metal structures, charging storage batteries, starting aircraft and motorcar engines, for feeding water-desalinating plants, and other purposes has radio noise filter and surge protection unit, switching device, phase current sensor, transformer, controllable rectifier, ripple filter, output current limiting and stabilizing sensor, radio noise and surge protection filters, rectifier, final element of protective gear, operating time meter, control unit, power transformer, power supply unit, reference voltage supply, error signal amplifier unit, pulse shaping unit, power amplifier unit, protective unit, and active filter unit. Constant voltage supply incorporates fast-response short-circuit and overload protective gear, current-limiting mode control ensuring maintenance of any current between 0 and 100%, and maximum current limiting circuit that prevents its excess beyond 5-10% of rated value. In addition high-speed circuit is provided for disconnecting constant-voltage supply from supply mains. Filers are introduced to reduce radio noise at power buses and load of constant voltage supply where surge protection is ensured.
