FIELD: electrochemical protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical protection equipment for managing emergency operation of a cathodic protection station (CPS) and can be used in systems for cathodic protection of underground metal structures against corrosion, including pipelines. The system contains a main control unit connected to an overvoltage and short circuit protection unit, made with a protective TVS diode and a blown fuse, which is part of the emergency control unit (ECU), which also contains a power supply unit, a control unit, a module for automatically turning on the control unit, time relay, battery, charger and voltage source. It additionally contains a thyristor module connected to the control unit. In this case, the control unit is made in the form of a pulse generator with a current amplifier and a pulse transformer, and the output of the control unit pulse generator is connected to a thyristor module. Wherein the module for automatically turning on the control unit is configured to detect a lack of voltage on the main unit and contains a mains voltage presence detector with optocoupler isolation and a trigger logic element. The first input of the automatic switching module is connected to the main control unit, the second input - to the battery, and the output - to the time relay, which is configured to delay the signal to turn on the control unit, and the battery is connected to the charger, which is powered by a voltage source.
EFFECT: obtaining high protective properties of the CPS control system due to the ability of the emergency control unit to regulate the voltage and current necessary to protect the main pipeline from corrosion.
