FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: DC voltage source may be used for protection against electrochemical corrosion of underground metal structures, charge of accumulators, in installations for start-up of engines in airplanes, automobiles, power supply sources of desalination plants and other purposes. Source of DC voltage contains unit of radio interference filter and overload protection, switching device, phased current detector, transformer, controlled rectifier, smoothing filter, sensor of output current limitation and stabilization, filter of radio interference and overload protection, protection supply transformer, rectifier, protection actuator, operating time counter, control unit, supply transformer, unit of supply sources, source of reference voltage, unit of mismatch signals amplification, unit of pulses generation, unit of power amplifier, protection unit, switch of operation modes, unit of active filter, two voltage dividers, two voltage followers, switch of channels and active filter of low frequencies. Source of DC voltage is equipped with overload protection unit, manual control unit supply transformer and manual control unit. Unit of current control switches on counter of operating time, when output current of DC voltage source is more or equal to preset protective current at underground metal structure, unit of manual control of DC voltage output current automatically switches on in case of control unit failure.

EFFECT: higher reliability of cathode protection of underground metal structure, overload protection of control unit and manual control unit.
