FIELD: pyrotechnics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermoplastic pyrotechnic composites used for preparing elastic fuse by methods of extrusion and passing pressing. Invention proposes three variants for thermoplastic retarding composite for elastic fuse. Thermoplastic retarding composite for elastic fuse comprises by variant 1: lead chromate as an oxidizing agent and fluoro- containing organic rubber. By variant 2 the composite comprises: lead chromate as an oxidizing agent, leas oxide and fluorocontaining organic rubber. By variant 3 the composite comprises: lead chromate as an oxidizing agent, polytetrafluoroethylene F-4 and fluoro- containing organic rubber. Invention is directed for creation of thermoplastic retarding pyrotechnical composite for elastic fuse providing the transfer of fire impulse for distance with big retarding time values (combustion rate is from 0.5 to 0.8 mm/s) and eliciting thermostable property up to 180 C and waterproofing that can be used in carrying out explosion works in mining and coal mining branches of industry or for making retarding member in pyro-relay device.
