FIELD: manufacture of rolled products. SUBSTANCE: method for thermal processing of rolled products, in particular, rod fittings of low-alloyed silico- manganese steels, involves cyclic water cooling of heated rolled product, with number of cycles being equal to two, at regulated cooling rate and supercooling surfaces of rolled product below temperature of Mh; providing intermediate and final warming of surfaces and final cooling in air. Method is characterized in that intermediate warming is carried out up to temperature Mn+(240-250) C and final warming is carried out up to temperature Mh+(50-70) C. Cooling during first and second cycles is provided at predetermined rates. Method is used for thermal processing of rolled products in small-section, rod or wire mills. EFFECT: improved strength and plastic characteristics of rolled products and reduced production costs. 1 tbl
