FIELD: production of synthetic materials. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hollow vertical reactor mounted for rotation on shaft fixed with its upper end in bearing unit. Open part of reactor is made in the form of diverging cone. Apparatus is further equipped with heater, heat-insulating housing, annular air duct mounted above edge of open part of diverging reactor cone and axially aligned with heat-insulating housing, and inlet branch pipe. Spinneret with heat-insulating screen is mounted on common shaft with reactor. Inlet branch pipe has screen and inlet pipe. Shaft is positioned inside inlet pipe in spaced relation to its inner surface in axially aligned relation therewith. Annular air duct is positioned without gap with respect to heat-insulating housing. Fibrous material produced by means of apparatus is made from thermoplastic substances and mixtures thereof and adapted for manufacture of sorbents for catching oil and petroleum products from water.
