FIELD: power engineering; switchgear installations. SUBSTANCE: proposed supporting bushing insulator is designed for use in medium-voltage metalclad switchgear equipped with bushing insulators whose quantity depends on that of phase leads connected to collecting buses, these insulators being secured through split joint to metal carrying plate of support insulator. Supporting bushing insulators have outer profiles of support insulators in the form of rectangular parallelepiped; abutting against these outer profiles are internal profiles of support insulators shaped as rectangular parallelepipeds; clamping slots of support insulators having concentric-section profiles are disposed between them; internal profiles of support insulators have guide profiles of support insulators in vicinity of area where they are abutting against carrying metal plates; these profiles are passed through cavities of carrying metal plate of support insulator and are splayed in the form of trapezium toward loose area by longitudinal surfaces bent out from external profiles of support insulators. EFFECT: simplified design of insulators; reduced requirements to safety precautions. 2 cl, 1 dwg
