FIELD: basic electrical components; integrated insulator and surge arrester modules.
SUBSTANCE: proposed module has insulator structurally integrated with surge arrester assembled of resistor units. Insulator is made in the form of composite body with carrying member, for instance plastic tube reinforced by glass fabric, and molded elastomer shell, for instance shielded one; surge arrester is embedded in molded elastomer shell. Discharge columns are disposed in mirror symmetry relative to plane including insulator longitudinal axis.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability.
