FIELD: food- processing industry. SUBSTANCE: food product has one or several plastic food substrates, for example meet substrate, formed into spiral configuration and covered with liquid barrier substance for preventing adjacent food coils from overburning. Liquid barrier substance may be edible vegetable oil, such as hydrogenated vegetable oil, soya oil, rape oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, arachis oil or mixtures of said oils. Product may be made in the form of single spiral or multiple-thread spiral, for example double or triple spiral. Method involves extruding one or several plastic food substrates through nozzle into hollow forming part in the process of performing relative rotation of nozzle and forming part; covering liquid barrier substance onto outer surface of product.
