SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding melt metal through outlet nozzle of supplying vessel onto upper branch of belt conveyer for solidifying melt and feeding it for further deformation in rolling stand; before beginning of casting process roughly setting point for feeding melt metal onto conveyer; setting transportation speed of belt conveyer depending upon desired thickness of rolled piece and rolling rate in rolling stand; during casting measuring position of complete crystallization of metallic billet on belt conveyer; measuring temperature of rolled piece in zone of rolling stand and using position of complete crystallization and temperature of rolled piece as control values for determining actual position of point of feeding melt metal leaving supplying vessel onto belt conveyer.
