METHOD OF FORMING FABRIC ON LOOM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming fabric in loom furnished with shed-forming mechanism and weaver's beam by tightening of warp threads; releasing warp threads; laying and beating weft threads; leading away manufactured fabric; providing shed-forming by separating warp threads into system movable in vertical plane and system movable in vertical and horizontal planes; moving said systems in vertical plane and moving weft intersections of plain weaves and derived weaves in horizontal plane during shed-forming within weft fabric pattern repeat; drawing-in warp thread yarns in reed tooth, with ratio of both system threads being at least 1:1; leaving at least one tooth free of drawn-in warp threads between reed teeth with drawn-in warp threads; laying fancy twisting threads or fancy twisting threads and threads with increased elastic deformation as weft threads in the ratio of at least 1:1. Method allows fabrics with looped surface to be manufactured on looms without necessity of employing additional devices and reducing speed characteristics of weaving process.
