METHOD OF PULSE AND ION-PLASMA STIMULATION OF OIL FORMATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2213860 C2

FIELD: oil-gas producing industry, particularly, methods of increase of formation oil recovery. SUBSTANCE: method consists in ion-plasma stimulation of oil formation at level of well perforation. Passed through injected into well mineralized water with density of, at least, 1.12 g/cu.cm is d.c. With voltage of 90-300V and density of 0.1-1 A/sq.cm. Formation is periodically, every 25-30 min, is stimulated by pulses with electric discharges in form of 3-5 successive pulse discharges generated in discharge chamber of ion-plasma generator from anode electrode and cathode electrode to provide for repressuring-differential pressure regime. Duration of each discharge is up to 100 mcs and energy is above 100 j, with pulse period-to-pulse duration ratio within 5. Pulse stimulation is carried out without interruption of ion-plasma process with continuous washing of well with mineralized water. Upon completion of pulse stimulation, annular space is opened and products of decomposition and melting are removed from bottomhole zone by pumping the mineralized water. EFFECT: intensified oil recovery due to additional stimulation of bottomhole formation zone by pulse electric discharges.
