FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engines and it can be used in rotary piston internal combustion engines. According to invention, rotor is made with cylindrical working surface with asymmetrical guide curve described by one of extreme points of one of members (volume cutoff) of crank mechanism. Points of crank describe circles or trochoids with whole number of ratio of radii of fixed and generating circles. Power parameter of mechanism is chosen to conform to expression A(λi, ρi,...)≠2, where A is power parameter of mechanism and λi, ρi are relative values of mechanism members providing asymmetry and differences in strokes in crank turning angle. Extreme points of volume cutoffs are aligned with points of asymmetrical working surface of housing or rotor, and said cutoffs are moved in reciprocating-and-turn manner or reciprocating manner using them simultaneously as one of members of crank mechanism.
