FIELD: mechanical engineering; piston engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has cylinder with piston. Crank-and-connecting rod mechanism is made offset, with working stroke of piston corresponding to angle of crank turning smaller than at reverse stroke. Amplitude of mechanical characteristic of mechanism is displaced to side of maximum values of working medium pressure at working stroke of piston in process of expansion. Expansion takes place at working stroke with speed greater than at reverse stroke of piston. According to invention, engine is provided with accumulator of energy of translationally moving masses absorbing the energy when piston approaches BDC and then shifting it back after passing of BDC. Contact of lower part of piston and energy accumulator takes place when piston approaches BDC.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine, improved mass and dimensional parameters.
