FIELD: hand portable firearm, applicable for use by civilians for self-defense by shooting to cause injuries or to frighten by sound and light (flashes at a shot). SUBSTANCE: the self-defense weapon has a body, cartridge holder with seats, barrels made as cartridge holder with seats, barrels made as cartridge cases with an electric primer, and an initiating mechanism having a pulsed magnetoelectric and/or electrochemical current source electrically connected to a distributing device having a unit of contact sets, the unit contact sets are made floating, a laser target indicator is built in the weapon body, and a through hole is made in the cartridge holder with seats and positioned in its middle part between the seats of the cartridge holder. Besides, a light-emitting diode indicating the degree of discharge of the electrochemical current source is positioned in the bottom part of the body, and the light-emitting diode is located in the through hole of the cartridge holder. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of the self-defense weapon with a low kick, improved sighting system, and excluded criminal use of the weapon. 3 cl, 2 dwg
