FIELD: mixers with revolving mixing members in fixed reservoirs; oil, chemical, food-processing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed homogenizer includes taper housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes. Mounted coaxially inside housing are two coaxial taper rotors with autonomous drives for rotation in opposite directions, thus intensifying mixing. End surface of outer rotor at inlet is made in form of impeller for entrapping the components fed to working zone; ports provided at outlet are used for discharge of finished mixture. Used as working zone is gap between rotors whose surfaces are made in form of teeth for high degree of crushing and mixing due to pressure gradient. Kinetic energy of escape of mixture is converted to potential energy of pressure due to taper shape of housing, thus imparting pumping function to homogenizer. Homogenizer may be used for wide range of agents irrespective of rheological properties. EFFECT: increased productivity; reduced power requirements. 2 dwg
