FIELD: hydrogen power engineering; alloys used for hydrogen accumulators and heat pumps. SUBSTANCE: efficiency of pump is determined by cooling when it operates for generation of cold; cooling effect depends on hydrogen capacity and is related with technological properties of low-temperature component (alloy), namely with hysteresis, inclination of isothermic lines, etc. Purpose of invention is production of AB5 compound for low-temperature component of heat pump for better cooling effect at pressures closer to atmospheric within range of working temperatures. Mish metal and cobalt are introduced into hydrogen-absorbing alloy containing lanthanum and nickel at the following ratio of components, mass-%: Mn, 0.01-32.4; La, 0.01-32.1; Co, 13.6; the remainder being Ni. Proposed alloy increases cooling effect (in kJ/cu dm) by 21% as compared with alloy Zr0,9Ti0,1Cr0,6Fe1,4. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 dwg
