ACTUATING MEMBER OF CONTINUOUS MINER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of mining machinery; applicable in designs of mining machines using water spraying in course of operation. SUBSTANCE: actuating member of continuous miner has boom including body, shaft, cutting crown with water-distributing chamber and channels mounted on shaft with help of driving sleeve, sealing water-supplying device connected with body and having sealing holder, sealing members, holes and water-supplying channel. Sealing water-supplying device is located on driving sleeve and coaxial to it, and provided with two movable covers interconnected by means of threaded joint for moving opposite to each other. Sealing members are installed between movable covers and separated between each other with circular stop of sealing holder with radial hole communicating the water-supplying channel with driving sleeve longitudinal hole coming into water-distributing chamber of cutting crown. Sealing members are made of stuffing and engageable with movable covers and circular stop of sealing holder. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced labor input in manufacture, higher reliability of actuating member of continuous miner in process of operation due to improved air tightness of sealing water- supplying device. 2 dwg
