FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gland assembly comprises the case composed by case sleeve and cover, pressure sleeve, stuffing box, thrust sleeve and safety sleeve. Said cover is secured in thrust sleeve secured in working mechanism case while safety sleeve abuts rigidly on working mechanism shaft. Cover allows fitting said case therein. Case sleeve ID is larger than pressure sleeve OD to allow pressure sleeve fitting into case sleeve for sealing aforesaid stuffing box. Note here that case sleeve and case cover are interconnected. Note also that pressure sleeve is fitted on safety sleeve and connected with case sleeve.
EFFECT: simplified assembly, higher reliability.
