FIELD: mechanical engineering; automatic control of multiposition objects. SUBSTANCE: proposed device contains actuating mechanism, position pickups corresponding to number of positions of actuating mechanism, task setting unit, device to shape control signals for actuating mechanism including control channels made in form of series-connected AND gates and storage element coupled by inputs with task setting unit and pickups, and by outputs of storage elements, with actuating mechanism, two OR gates connected between outputs of storage elements of signal shaper and actuating mechanism, position clamping unit, automatic lock placed between outputs of OR gates and actuating mechanism and containing two AND gates, each connected by its output to one of inputs of actuating mechanism and each connected by one input to output of its OR element and each connected by other input crosswise through NOT gates to output of other AND gate. Task setting unit contains discrete position setting members of actuating mechanism corresponding to number of positions of actuating mechanism and connected to control signal shaper, each through series-connected and gate and storage element and discrete reset element connected through OR gates to reset inputs of task setting unit storage elements and to inputs of position clamping unit. Position clamping unit contains, for each control channel, series-connected and gate to inputs of which output of storage element of its control channel in signal shaper and reset element are connected, and storage element whose output is connected to circuits for selecting pickup nearest, in direction of execution, to actuating mechanism, and reset input of said storage element is connected through NOT gate in its control channel in signal shaper to output of storage element whose reset input is connected through OR gate to outputs of pickup selection circuits.
