FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with biochemical trials to be applied at treating patients with pulmonary cancer at different stages of tumor process development. Before the onset of therapy it is necessary to detect urinary content of melatonin epiphysial hormone and if its values exceed 8.0 nM/d one should state upon high degree of tumor process metastasis and poor prediction for disease flow that determines corresponding type of therapy, and at melatonin level being below 8.0 nM/d one should conclude on low tumor process metastasias and favorable prediction for disease flow. The value of melatonin value could characterize either the nearest or remote prediction of disease flow. Either high or low melatonin values enable to correct both plan and tactics of subsequent types of therapy, choose the most rational variant. Prediction for no complications avoids patient against inefficient impact of medicinal preparations, irradiation and saves expenses for therapy in cancer patients.
