FIELD: manufacture of chemical power supplies. SUBSTANCE: method intended for sealing batteries whose lids and cases are made of thermoplastic materials includes following procedures: heated welding electrodes are inserted between top edge of case and bottom edge of assembled battery, each electrode being connected to separate ac power supply; melting of surfaces including forced slight compression; removal of electrodes upon softening; jointing of molten surfaces and their holding at certain pressure.
