RECUPERATOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2214928 C2

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for accumulation of energy at vehicle braking with subsequent return of energy for acceleration of vehicle. Proposed recuperator contains mechanical energy accumulator mechanically connected with vehicle wheels and connected by pipelines with receiver and controls and installed with possibility of accumulation and consumption of compressed air energy in receiver, respectively, at braking and running. Novelty is that recuperator contains heat exchanger installed for exchanger of heat of compressed air circulating between receiver and mechanical energy accumulator. Mechanical energy accumulator is made in form of rotary vane compressor whose rotor is mechanically connected with vehicle wheels. Receiver and pipelines are provided with heat insulating sheathing. EFFECT: increased efficiency of vehicle and recuperator, reduced consumption of fuel, improved ecological characteristics. 1 dwg
