FIELD: anti-scaling agents, polymers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for inhibition of scale formation in aqueous systems, in par, to the improved method for production of kraft paper wherein scale formed from calcium carbonate is inhibited. One of specific features of this invention involves the development of novel polymeric agents useful for prevention of scale formation from calcium carbonate in industrial aqueous systems. Inhibition of scale formation is provided by addition of agent involving links of at least one monomer taken among group consisting of 1,2-hydroxy-3-butene, N-(hydroxymethyl)acrylamide and N-(sulfomethyl)-acrylamide and links of at least one monomer taken among group consisting of maleic acid, acrylic acid, acrylamide, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, vinylsulfoacid, styrenesulfoacid, N-tert.-butylacrylamide, butoxymethylacrylamide, N,N- dimethylacrylamide, sodium-acrylamidomethylpropanesulfoacid and their salts. Invention provides reduction or prevention of scale formation in industrial aqueous systems. EFFECT: improved inhibition method, enhanced effectiveness of anti-scale agents. 4 cl, 4 ex
