SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of water-soluble copolymers, which have average molecular weight from 750 to 500000 g/mole, said copolymers being formed by possessing acid groups, or neutralised acid groups, unsaturated monoethylene monomers a) and acyclic, monocylclic and/or bicyclic terpen b), especially, hydrocarbon of terpen line, in solutions of caustic soda, applied in Baeyer process, as reagents for reduction of sedimentation and formation of covering by inorganic and organic admixtures.

EFFECT: reduction of sedimentation of scale-forming substances.
