FIELD: building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composites of materials used in nuclear power engineering and designated for providing localization of melt in active zone of box-type water-cooled reactors (corium) at projected emergency with melt outflow from carcass. Concrete for melt trap in active zone of nuclear reactor comprises finely ground mixture of Portland cement and iron oxide Fe2O3 taken in ratio 1:1 as a binding agent, water as a mixing gent and granules of sintered iron oxide Fe2O3 and aluminum oxide Al2O3 taken in mass ratio 7:3 as a filling agent and plasticizing addition being components are taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: indicated binding agent, 33-46; indicated filling agent, 41-49; plasticizing addition, 0.35-0.64; water, the balance. Invention provides development of concrete for melt trap in active zone of nuclear reactor combining properties of heat-insulating and victim material that shows relatively low heat conductivity and high value of enthalpy of cool resource.
