FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloys with elevated corrosion resistance suited for use as structural material in transport machinery construction including aviation. Proposed alloy may be used for making a variety of power set and airplane fuselage skin members, among them welded ones, and likewise welded fuel reservoirs and other elements of motor cars and rail-way transport. Proposed aluminum-based alloy contains, wt %: magnesium 0.7-1.4, zinc 0.01-0.8, silicon 0.6-1.2, nickel 0.005-0.5, copper 0.6-1.4, at least one element from group: scandium 0.005-0.4 and cerium 0.005-0.2, and at least one element from group: chromium 0.01-0.3, manganese 0.01-0.5, titanium 0.01-0.3, and zirconium 0.005-0.2. EFFECT: summarized following properties: sufficient and plasticity strength levels and high resistance to all types of corrosion, including inter-crystallite corrosion. 2 cl, 2 tbl, 6 ex
