FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming fibrous cloth comprising staple synthetic fibers; treating fibers with composition based on adhesion promoter and providing thermal fixing of material, with fibrous cloth comprising staple polypropylene fibers mixed with natural or synthetic filaments; before thermal fixing procedure, applying onto at least one side of fibrous cloth nonwoven web of continuous polypropylene single threads. Adhesion promoter is silane derivative selected from the group consisting of γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane, vinyl trietoxysilane, methyl-β-cyanoethyl dichlorosilane, polyethyl siloxane. Fibers are treated with aqueous composition based on said silane derivative until gain in weight reaches 0.25-3% by weight of dry substance to weight of fibers. Thermal fixation is carried out at polypropylene filament softening temperature and under the action of pressure. Nonwoven material for short-term articles, such as surgeon's coats, caps, masks and other hygienic-sanitary and medicinal articles, produced by method, comprises layers thermally fixed one with another with the use of pressure applied thereto and treatment preparation. One layer is made in the form of fibrous cloth manufactured from mixture of staple polypropylene filaments and natural or synthetic filaments, and other layer is made in the form of nonwoven web of continuous polypropylene single threads, said web being positioned at one or both sides of fibrous cloth.
