FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in devices for building high pressures of gas. Proposed compressor contains hydraulic motor cylinder and compressor cylinders arranged opposite to hydraulic motor cylinder and furnished with pistons secured on common rod. Hydraulic drive of hydraulic motor includes pump, hydraulic distributor, delivery and drain lines. Rod spaces of compressor cylinders are equal in diameter with adjacent spaces of hydraulic motor cylinder. Pistons of compressor cylinders can interact with spool of hydraulic distributor through corresponding change-over mechanism and relay type home-setting device. At displacement of bushing of change-over mechanism, ball moves the rod which, through pressure balls, acts onto spool through relay-type home setting device made in form of shaped cam loaded by spring-in direction of movement of spool and ball.
