Abstract RU 2215309 C1

FIELD: proximity evaluation of prospects of developed geological structures prior to start of deep exploratory drilling. SUBSTANCE: specimens are taken within bounds of search section, magnetic parameters are measured, specimens are heated to temperature of 450-500 C. Magnetic parameters are measured again and measured values of parameters before and after heating are compared. Comparison results are used to make judgment on presence of oil or gas deposit. Specimens are taken from upper layer of soil horizon. Specimens are heated in presence of oxidizing agent. Background specimens are taken in addition. Relation of values of measured parameters of specimens before and after heating is compared with value of parameter of background specimen. With twofold excess of relation judgment is made on presence of oil and gas perspective areas. Magnetic susceptibility, and/or residual magnetization of saturation, and/or saturation magnetization are chosen as magnetic parameters. Oxygen-carrying atmosphere is utilized in the capacity of oxidizing agent and heating is conducted in the course of 30 min. Specimens are dried and ground to grains smaller or equal to 0.8 mm before measurement of magnetic parameters.
