FIELD: production of superfine staple filaments from mineral melts. SUBSTANCE: blowing head has casing, branch pipe with energy carrier inlet opening, sleeve, cover, funnel with melt supplying opening, annular cavity of acoustic resonator, annular working nozzle and chamber arranged under nozzle. Blowing head inner cavity extending from branch pipe opening to working nozzle is defined by rotation about axis of head having contour formed of arc of circle with central angle of from 120 deg to 210 deg and cuts of straight line adjoining said arc. Blowing head inner cavity is divided by sleeve into three successively arranged chambers: inlet chamber, resonator chamber separated from inlet chamber by speeding-up nozzle, and buffer chamber, with volumetric ratio of resonator chamber and inlet chamber being 0.1-0.6. Branch pipe inlet opening area is smaller than inlet chamber section by 4-9 times and is smaller than speeding-up nozzle section by 1.5-2 times, while speeding-up nozzle section is, in its turn, larger than buffer chamber inlet nozzle section by 1.3-5 times, and section of the latter is larger than working nozzle section by 1.2-1.5 times. Working nozzle is defined by baffling projection on funnel surface, which is spaced from edge of buffer chamber inlet nozzle by distance at least equal to double the width of inlet nozzle slit. Generatrix of sleeve outer cone having length smaller by 1.5-2 times than length of contour, which defines resonator surface at opposite side, makes angle of 90-150 deg with respect to inner surface of speeding-up nozzle and angle of 30-90 deg with respect to sleeve inner cone defined by stepped bore making filament forming nozzle. Area of nozzle section is smaller by at least three times area section of chamber under nozzle behind stepped bore end, which is spaced from baffling projection end by distance at least equal to half the distance from bore end to projection generatrix and sleeve inner cone generatrix intersection point. EFFECT: optimal construction of blowing head members influencing parameters of filament and, accordingly, quality of mineral wool cloth. 3 dwg
