FIELD: varnish-and- paint industry. SUBSTANCE: paint contains pigment, binding component, auxiliary substances, water, and sugar- containing principle, in particular polysaccharides of Ungernia genus plants having general formula (C6H12O6)3-20 in amounts 0.000001% to 0.002% of the weight of paint. Painting operation is performed by fixing palette or board with paints, providing image on a surface, correcting it by adding wet paint from palette or board, and treating image or its fragments by addition of 0.0001-0.04% solution of above-indicated polysaccharide deposited on wet paint with the aid of brush, tampon, or pulverizer. EFFECT: achieved preservation of color gamma of wet aquarel paint for at least 4 months. 4 cl, 1 tbl
