FIELD: woodworking process; drying of lumber. SUBSTANCE: proposed vacuum drying chamber has housing made in form of cylinder with end cover mounted on pivoted lever, rail tracks for truck with wood pile, vacuum station, connectors temperature and moisture content sensors which are connected with control console; proposed chamber is also provided with units for connecting flat heating elements for zone heating of wood, panels for drainage of condensate made from glass-reinforced plastic sheets which are located in inclined position in upper portion of chamber at angle to each other on both sides form vertical plane of symmetry of housing forming space for inlet of vapor to upper portion of chamber; units for connecting heating elements and sensors are made in form of two boxes with panels of electric connectors which are connected with current source and with control console equipped with at least first and second temperature controllers of heating elements.
