DOVETAILING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: dovetailing machine has bed with carriage, blank table, saw support for cutting off blank ends, cutter support for forming dovetails, electric engine for saw spindle and for cutter spindle, and control system with end switches. First of pneumatic pressure cylinders is mounted on carriage for pressing blank from the top and second of pneumatic pressure cylinders is mounted for pressing blank from the side. Pneumatic drive cylinders are positioned for moving cutter and for feeding carriage. Electric engine for saw spindle is mounted for axial displacement. Electric engine for cutter spindle is mounted on bed side wall for rotation and is connected through flexible transmission to end of cutter spindle coupled to rod of cutter moving pneumatic cylinder. Pneumatic system is equipped with first and second distributors connected to carriage feeding pneumatic cylinder and to cutter moving pneumatic cylinder, respectively, and with third distributor connected to pressing pneumatic cylinders. Dovetailing machine may be used in equipment for preparing timber for lengthwise gluing process. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, increased efficiency, improved quality of product, reduced power consumption, dimensions and weight, and simplified maintenance. 10 cl, 7 dwg
