FIELD: wood-working industry at drying of wood of various breeds.

SUBSTANCE: the method for drying of lumbers according to the first alteration includes loading of lumbers in the drying chamber, heating of it by means of a heating means, provision of evaporation of moisture from the lumbers and production of steam in the chamber, condensation of steam due to the contact of steam with the condensation means and removal of condensate to the condensate collectors, rarefaction is produced in the drying chamber within 90 to 100 mm Hg, and the chamber is heated to a temperature of 25 to 39 C for production of saturated steam or close to it, the moisture content of the steam in the chamber is measured, and when the moisture content exceeds 98% the supply of flow-through refrigerant to the condensation means is provided, and when the moisture content becomes less than 70% the heating of lumbers is resumed. A drier for realization of the drying method is also disclosed.

EFFECT: provided enhanced quality of lumbers.
