SPRAY POND Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2215960 C2

FIELD: water coolers of circulation systems of atomic and thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: spray pond has water-feeding pipe-line linked to pressure collector placed above pond carrying groups of spray nozzles in the form of rows separated by air corridors with different heights of flames. Pipe-lines with ejectors with helical grooves made in inner surface of expanding part of each ejector are joined to lower parts of pressure collectors. Ejector is put on float and is connected to rising pipe by means of flexible corrugated insert. Ejector is linked to pulser with its mixing chamber. Resonator comprising vertical springy plate which lower part is attached to pedestal and which upper part is movably coupled to propeller-float is placed on pond bottom. Curvilinear, spiral-shaped guides are provided on internal surface of spray nozzles. Pulser is made of four bimetal plates bent twice, propeller-float is fabricated from springy plates having form of clotoid with four tabs, as minimum, put on vertical springy plate for vertical displacement and rotation with use of joint. EFFECT: increased cooling efficiency of water. 5 dwg
