HYDRAULIC CYCLONE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2223153 C1

FIELD: separation of liquids of heterogeneous systems under action of centrifugal forces; chemical, oil producing, food-processing and mining industries; treatment of natural water and sewage. SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic cyclone has housing with inlet branch pipe and clarified fraction and heavy fraction discharge branch pipes, taper insert located inside housing and provided with truncated cone. Housing is made in form of inverted truncated cone with inner curvilinear helical conductors; mounted on inner surface of taper insert are springing guides formed from compressed cycloids and clarified fraction outlet branch pipe is made in form of elastic taper insert with dovetail-shaped vibration traps. End of inlet branch pipe is provided with convergent nozzle with inner curvilinear spiral-shaped grooves Located before it is pulsator made in form of clotoid with lugs made from springing plates (no less than four) and fitted on axle for vertical motion within lower and upper boundaries. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation of liquid of heterogeneous systems. 6 dwg
